| Business Improvement Engineer - Oman - Petroleum
Our client is one of the biggest Petroleum firms in the Middle East. They are masters at what they do and provide employees with an opportunity to add value to their careers the chance to work in beautiful Oman.
The purpose of this role Identify and implement opportunities to significantly improve efficiency and business performance in the application of Chemicals in PDO producing fields.
Principal Accountabilities:
·Challenge current work practices and application of chemicals in the Production process
.Seek means to improve value by facilitating the adoption of best practice.
·Work with stakeholders including Petroleum Engineering, Process Engineering, Production Operations, Production Chemistry and chemicals suppliers to ensure that the key relationships and trade-offs are fully understood and built into plans (eg: between production gain and lifecycle chemical costs)
· Develop improvement plans and facilitate their introduction
·Develop performance targets and maintain KPIs across the business to analyse the performance of Chemicals and improvements achieved
·Report on Chemical performance against targets: identifying underlying risks and opportunities to the business.
·Implement (with others) the LSS process on high cost Chemical products used the assets.
·Produce monthly progress reports on Chemical costs in the various areas. ·Present quarterly to the PDO Technical Directors Group meeting planned improvements and achievement against targets, especially in relation to Production Chemicals costs
Experience/Qualifications Needed
· University Degree in Chemical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, Engineering or similar.
·A minimum of 10 years experience in business performance management and in-depth understanding of Business Improvement concepts, knowledge on the use Lean Six Sigma process principles and working practices.
·Fully conversant with the application of Production Chemicals in E&P processes
·Track record of successful business improvement work.
